While compact in stature, a versatile 4x optical zoom lens is featured, and provides a 27-108mm equivalent focal length range to cover wide-angle through short telephoto perspectives. Digital image stabilization benefits this reach by minimizing the appearance of camera shake in difficult lighting, and a built-in flash can also be used for additional illumination in low-light conditions. The sleek design of the camera also includes a 2.7" 230k-dot LCD monitor for reviewing and composing imagery, and two AA batteries are used as a convenient power source.
